Hailong battery case dimensions — which mould takes your configuration

Short answer: work backwards from the pack. A 13S4P build needs 52 cells and three of our 14 Hailong moulds take it — ALX019A · ALX068 · ALX096. A 13S9P needs 117 cells and exactly one mould reaches it. The tables below map every configuration the family can house, and list the mounting centres we have measured, because the hole spacing differs by mould and by up to 16 mm.

Every other table on this site, our own series tables included, answers "how many cells does this mould hold". Most builders arrive with the question the other way round: the pack is decided first — 13S6P, 48 V, 21700 — and the housing is what you go looking for afterwards. That is the direction used here.

Configuration to mould

Each row is one of the 6 cell ceilings the Hailong family is tooled to, with the standard configurations that ceiling covers. Larger moulds take the same pack; they are simply more housing than it needs.

The 21700 ceiling is always the smaller of the two numbers for the same mould, so a configuration that fits on 18650 can have no 21700 home at all: 13S8P is 104 cells, and the largest 21700 ceiling in the family is 100, in ALX149D — which is 20S5P or 10S10P.

The last column is the part no listing carries. Mounting holes are not a shared standard, and on a frame that already has bosses the spacing decides the fit before the cell count does: across the moulds we hold drawing data for, the short spacing runs from 57 mm to 73 mm and the long spacing from 161.15 mm to 171.61 mm. A housing that takes your pack can still miss the bosses on a frame that already has them. Where the column is empty, the pattern is set per order.

Four moulds are single-format: ALX053B and ALX053C take 18650 only, and ALX097B and ALX149D take 21700 only. If the cells are already bought, those four are the first to rule out.

What a ceiling still does not tell you

A cell count is not a build plan. The BMS and the cable exit sit inside the same envelope, and neither of them is a cell. A 13S BMS is longer than the 10S board most of these moulds were tooled around, so a housing filled to its ceiling generally has no room left for the board that has to manage it. If your pack counts out and the housing still will not close, that is why, and it is worked through in why your 13S5P pack will not fit.

The order that saves a return: pick the mould from the configuration, check the mounting centres against the frame, then check the BMS length against the interior before ordering. The measured size table carries the opening and section for all 90 models if you want a second dimension to cross-check, and the case selector does the same match from a configuration without the arithmetic.
