An empty case is exactly that: the case. You get the shell, lid, lock with key, mounting bracket and screws. You do not get cells, a BMS, a wiring harness or a charger. You buy those yourself — which is why our housing fits your cell supplier rather than ours.
Every case ships ready to assemble. What is missing is missing on purpose: the electrical parts.

Most of the difference between formats comes down to one question: can you see the case or not?
The most common format, side rail, bolted to the downtube. Visible.
Slim body, common on conversion kits and retrofits. Visible.
Disappears completely inside the frame tube — mostly folding and compact frames. Not visible.
Sits outside the downtube, mounted above or below it. Visible, flatter than Hailong.
Flat body for the rear frame, short overall length — cargo and commuter builds.
Narrow round body, uses the bottle-cage bosses. For tight frames.
Short version: integrated means you see nothing; downtube means you see the case. Both get called "in-frame", which is the most common mix-up.
On our cases the plug sits in the end area, and that area is designed as reserve — roughly 7 to 57 mm depending on model. Switching from 3-pin to 5-pin therefore does not change how many cells fit: the plug goes in the reserve, not in the length you ordered.

No new tool for the case. End cap and bracket are separate parts — they change without touching the shell. Tooling only starts with a new case shape or a new frame-side dock.
Every case comes with a lock and two keys. The bracket bolts to the frame; hole patterns are 57–73 mm (short) or 161–172 mm (long) depending on format. If your frame uses a different pattern, tell us — the bracket is a separate part.
